Reported they sent an offer quietly last night. Prob wont be accepted but I'm sure the players have to realize they aren't going to get a better offer

From what I heard on the radio, the offer basically went down the middle on the major sticking point. Lenght of contracts 6 years where owners wanted 5 and players wanted 7. I think there were 3-4 consessions on major issues. We shall see.

I've been on the players side from day 1, but after looking over the NHL one from last night I think if they turn this one down (without a good counteroffer) then they're just dumb.

Supposedly, talks will be had on Sunday and if you go look at some of the NHL sites, it says next game Jan 15th? At least on the Flyers site, that just may be a projection after the last cancellations but you never know?

I think there is a conference call scheduled shortly. I read late morning which probably means sometime very soon. They are just waiting on Don Fehr to finish up his beauty sleep.
