Flyers got caught in a shift change and give up a goal to Vegas.
Knights up 1-0
The Senators tried to have fun with their fans and apparently ended up injuring them
The Ottawa Senators decided to have some fun with the crowd before their Thursday night home opener. The good people at Canadian Tire Centre dropped giant white beach balls into the crowd.
The balls spilled fans’ beers and according to some on social media, may have injured children.

So, I just heard..."great defensive play by Jack Johnson"...
Yes that isn’t crazy talk, it did happen.
I'm glad to see the Wings picked up right where they left off. Get a breakaway in OT and not score, then spend the rest of the time in the defensive end until the other team scores.
It's going to be another loooong season. At least there's the Lion, oh, right.
LOL...oh yeah even the blind squirrel finds the nut sometimes.I heard that once.
I got over it.
Yes. Keep at it. Keep believing. That's how he gets you.
For having 3 regular D men out, I think they played well. Jackets kept throwing stuff at them and they kept counter punching.
Howard was amazing.
I think Buffalo may finally be on the right track but it would be stunning to me if they actually managed to cause any damage this year. That is still a very, very skinny roster and the spare parts they got back from STL for ROR isn't going to do much for them save maybe get them a few 2nd round picks. I guess the key is hoping Eichel doesn't go batshit and ask out before they can build him a team.Marchand doesn't get disciplined and posts four assists.
I'll be the score would have been 3-0 tops if he'd been out.
What a pathetic outing. They deserved to be booed one period into the season.
I agree with all of that. I think they're going to be just good enough to have an outside shot at a wildcard going into the final weeks - which would be a definite improvement - but will ultimately fall 5-7 points out.I think Buffalo may finally be on the right track but it would be stunning to me if they actually managed to cause any damage this year. Murray really dug that team into a deep hole.

If they can upgrade their defence somehow, perhaps. I'm not much of a Ristolainen believer to begin with, and while I think Dahlin will have a good season after that nightmare start last night he's still just a rookie.I agree with all of that.
