About a week ago, when I saw them advertising playoff tickets at the Joe, my first comment was: "if we make the playoffs". I couldn't see any type of consistency with this team that it takes to win games. Also, with the way we have shown an incapability of moving the puck out of our end whenever there are 2 forecheckers in our zone hounding the player with the puck and the others closing down passing lane availability because of our continuous holding of the puck, I started to have doubt about us getting enough points to close out those teams behind us in the standings who were playing with desperation and showing the league that they weren't going to be denied. Our play was not mirroring that at all. Then, in the last couple of games, up against goaltenders that played like the season was on the line, we now find ourselves in a dilemma, where without getting a win and one point somewhere else to get the 96 points that I believe it will take to get your team into the playoffs. We are faced with playing the Wild up there on Saturday, then Washington at home, the Habs next Thursday away, book-ended by a home and home with Carolina. Dubnyk, Holtby, and Price will be a challenge to beat, the last two, seeming to be a nemesis for us in recent meetings, and has there been a hotter goalie than Dubnyk in the last month? So, for us, it could could come down to the two games with Carolina, where they've been 3-4-3 in the last 10 games, that may determine whether or not we continue after April 11th.
