Hah, if they continue this pace there's no way they don't make it, seeing as they're 13-1-1 in their last 15. 4 points back with one game in hand could make things interesting. And the Bruins are probably peeved because they've honestly been much better the past few weeks. We'll see. They only have one team to climb over and one nipping at their heels. Florida seems to have too tough a hill though, with Ottawa in their way too.

man, Nucks took their collective foot off of the gas after a great first 24 minutes, and boom.
a couple of bad bounces (off of Tanev and Edler respectively) and they are chasing again.
20 minutes left.... turn that shit up!

The thing is that he could have been REALLY good. Incompetent Ottawa management gave him a sweetheart of a contract and he got complacent. If Alex had a good work ethic he wold have been a 35-45 goal scoreer every year. He bailed.

I still have never HEARD a player skate like Daigle. Even in a loud building you could hear his skates tearing up the ice. Unreal.

And I don't think Ottawa had to tank that year. I went to many of those games and that team was so bad it was unfathomable.

...and now you know how we feel when our team was accused of tanking.

1) I didn't take any offense Pix.

2) Ottawa, with their useless management at the time, may have indeed tanked unnecessarily. They sucked and it was so obvious that they were the worst team in the league. Nonetheless I could see management at that time jeopardizing all that by "tanking".

No matter, this is a far cry, IMO, from what established franchises like the Oilers, Leafs and Coyotes have pulled this year. Its a a disgrace and I really hope that the lottery goes to one of the teams that battled to the end.
