regarding the offside, I haven't seen the play in motion but if he's in control he's allowed to precede the puck.
on that note... just got in, have the game recorded - is it worth watching?

Aren't you allowed to be ahead of the puck as long as you possess it and no one is ahead of you? Unless he had just received the pass, that is. But it was my understanding that if you carried it in, that was allowed.
