they raised on average the ticket price by 5.7% someone with better math skills than me should see how much extra that is for the year on the average ticket price of $61 across the league to see if that makes up for alot of their losses from the lockout.

I went to one game so far in Washington, on Superbowl Sunday. Sat in a Budweiser box and didn't spend a red cent on a damn thing. After seeing this thread, I'm glad I did just that

Supply and demand. While demand may be slightly down, supply is way down (less than 60%), so they can charge more in most markets and get away with it.

From what I can tell, attendance is over 90% in all but 4 markets (Phoenix, Columbus, Islanders, and Colorado).

/Even Florida is at 100% - shady accounting, I love it!

Let's not use "we." Some of us aren't attending games this year. Some of us sent letters to our owners.

I'm going to more baseball games this year. They don't charge as much, the weather is nicer, and they don't hold me hostage as a fan every 7 years.
