ESPN renewed its NHL deal in Europe, giving ESPN America rights to up to six live games per week and coverage through the playoffs.

The ESPN-NHL deal covers all countries where ESPN America is available in Europe, excluding UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland & Denmark.

ESPN America has separate deals in some of those countries, but the coverage sucked there, as you would expect.

When I was living in Sweden, they used to show baseball games in April/May rather than NHL playoff games.
