Unitas (nice job Steelers)
Lol, imagine what could have been.

It’s a guess to say that the same things would’ve transpired in the 70s if you had Unitas up until that point but what a decades long dynasty that could’ve shaped up to be.

The 2 coaches in the Ice Bowl both worked as assistant coaches together at an NFL team before taking the head coaching jobs at Green Bay and Dallas. Lombardi and Landry were both coordinators for that team. Which of them was the offensive and defensive coordinator and which NFL team did they work for before moving on to Green Bay and Dallas?

The above should be fairly easy, so I'll give you a more difficult one.

The 1985 Bears have been regarded as one of, if not the best defense in NFL history. That stated, they had 2 starters from the 1984 season hold out for the entire 1985 season in a contract dispute. Who were those 2 players?

The Giants.. Lombardi was the OC & Landry the DC.

No, they both played.

Here is a hint, one was a OLB and the other a safety. I believe Duerson and Wilson were their replacements.

Correct. Both of them thought they were in line as the next HC for the Giants but saw the writing on the wall and left. The rest is history

I looked it up and have to admit that neither of those names rings a bell.

To be totally fair the only reason I know it is I re-watched the Bears/Giants 85 divisional playoff game and it was mentioned on there.

There are a few old games I'd like to rewatch but can't find on youtube. The 86 NFC Championship game Redskins/Giants and 96 Panthers/Packers. I can find highlights, but not the full games. There are some really good physical football games from the 80's and 90's that are uploaded, but those 2 specifically I can't find. 2 of the very good games where they beat the hell out of each other are the 83 49ers/Redskins and 95 Cowboys/49ers. The non-playoff game that is just unreal is the 85 Raiders/Bears. I'm pretty sure the hot tubs got wore out after that game and ice was in short supply. It was brutal.
