After reading this it got me to thinking if the NFL should look to put an end to it again, and this time for good. If the League is all about player safety now, how safe can it be for these guys to running at this pace for 16+ games? Injuries are far more likely to occur when players are tired, and with the no huddle it's just a constant go-go-go. They are squeezing in far more plays than you would typically get in a game. It does make it more exciting to watch, but you have to wonder what effects it's having on the players.
Should the NFL put in rules to discourage the hurry up when used outside of certain circumstances? Maybe put in plays can not be run outside of the last 10 seconds on the play clock, or that a huddle simply must occur prior to running a play.
Of course a rule like that would have to have certain times where it does not apply like the final few minutes of a quarter, and if one team has falling behind by several scores.
