The NFL really screwed up the scheduling this year, at least for our division.

The Ravens and Steelers play their 2nd game against each other next week, and we haven't played either team once. 5 of our division games come the last 8 weeks, with the 6th having come in Week 1.

Cleveland plays both Baltimore and Pittsburgh twice in the span of 5 games: Weeks 13-14 and 16-17. Additionally, they played us Week 1 and play us again Week 12. So that's 11 straight weeks without a divisional game.

Yeah i was looking at that as well. All the division games are clumped together, not just for our division, but most everyone. Kinda goofy if you ask me

Part of the problem is they want to start the season off with some excitement with divisional games, but then also end the season with divisional games in an attempt to keep teams from resting starters.

Did it have anything to do with them preparing to miss time during the lockout. I know they had alternative schedules available in case of missed games.

Makes for a jumbled up mess. They can't have both. I totally get the division games in Week 17. But the rest need to be spread out better. This year it's kind of ridiculous.

I doubt it has anything to do with the lockout. The schedule was released in April, just a month after the lockout. No way they release a schedule based on a projection of missing games at that point.

You're probably right, I just remember talk of a contingency schedule while the lockout was on.
