Got it, so you're not really an adult you just play one on the internet? Any Pats fan that doesn't think the Pats cheated is a complete homer not worthy of bantering back and forth with. And anyone that keeps throwing up spygate as a defense is just as bad.

Fuck it we cheated, we got caught, we got punished, we recovered. No issues there, I'd bet most teams were doing the same damn thing in fact Gruden admitted to it. BB was just an arrogant fuck and completely ignored the warnings, his I can do what ever the hell I want attitude is the main reason the Pats got caught. In some form or another all teams cheat, 70s and 80s, it was steroids. There is always and edge to gained and expolited.

The bold is really all you had to say.

Taping hand signals in the NFL are legal!!!!! The spot was wrong...so if taping signals is legal, you honestly think wearing a green jacket or sitting in row 1 makes a difference?? Seriously....also the Pats never played Car or Phil the yrs they did in the SB....SO where did they get the tapes....you honestly thing another team in the NFL handed over hand signals to the NE Pats?? Not to mention the last time NE played Car, Fox was not even the coach, so you mean to tell me Fox kept the same signals as the previous coach.. NE played Stl in Foxboro that yr before they meet in the SB, and we almost beat them, you don't think BB made adjustments to that game plan? The NYG made adjustments when we played them the last game of the season and we almost lost in NY. They used the same game plan and won....So where did NE get the tapes of hand signals for Car and Phil when they never even played them???????????????????????????????????????

No, it's not.

You're not even allowed to bring your own equipment to the stadium for the purpose of intelligence gathering, save polaroid type cameras.

The only people that think this is over blown are Pats fans.

I'll ask again....if it didn't help, then why is it against the rules? Why did BB not only have tapes, but notes ON the tapes? Why did he do all this for 7 years?

Ever notice how often he 'misinterperts' the rules?

Ugg...... are we really talking spygate? I've said the day I heard about it and I'll say it again. I'm not an NFL ref but have reffed college, I used to see teams looking at opponents signals all the time, I don't know for the life of me how a team can video tape a signal and get an added advantage. First of all, it isn't stealing -teams show the whole stadium the signals (used to before radio in helmets anyway) so it isn't like using the video is picking something secret up. Video doesn't forget, maybe it was easier then keeping the signals written down on paper (which is what teams supposedly did). In the end, I can't see a distinct on field advantage from filming, plus it would seem to be much harder to use the video in game compared to the use of paper, which was legal.

Just one mans unbiased opinion......although I do admit with the Pats I find myself defending more than most teams since the pure hatred for them seems to bring out stupidity. Such as they always get the calls???? Tuck rule was 12 years ago, seems like the calls have been going mostly against them ever since.

Not that I care anymore about Spygate but the one thing that always bugged me about that whole thing was how quickly the NFL confiscated the tapes and promptly destroyed ALL of them. That seemed a bit stinky to me and definitely made the whole affair far more suspicious. Why destroy the evidence so quickly?

Ponder this...just put yourself as a ref. for one game as you would judge it...on the field, at full speed, at an angle that might not be the best to make a call. Just put yourself in the place of a ref and see how you really judge a call.

I was watching a game this weekend and The Patriots weren't there, but the coaches kept covering their mouths with the playcards…weird, huh?

Bill Belichick was fined for ignoring the new commissioner's new rule for one game. The new sheriff in town had an opportunity to flex his muscle, with the big fish Pats as an example. You'd be foolish to think filming on the Jets sideline that first game of the season was anything more than Belichick taunting the recent defector, Eric Mangini.

It's time to take off your tin foil hats because The Patriots didn't film anyone's practices, or call in the secret codes to Tedy Bruschi's helmet from an underground bunker at Gillette. They beat your team by practicing hard, playing hard, and executing the game plan. Just like they're still doing.

Maybe some of you forgot this: with the eyes and ears of the league, media and millions of NFL fans tracking their every move, they went undefeated in the regular season and were one play away from what would have been called 'the greatest season in NFL history.'

The men who understand the game have spoken. Bill Cowher, Jimmy Johnson, Rodger Goodell and even Eric Mangini have stated that Spyhate was much ado about nothing. A media-penned and hyped, jealousy-fueled story that wasn't what haters wish it was.

I can see at full speed why the flag was thrown and I can see why the huddled up afterwards and got the call right.

The ball simply wasn't catchable - not by Gronk anyway.

That's complete and utter bullshit. The flag was thrown for a reason. The reason was Gronk was 1 or two yards from the ball and being held and pushed back through the endzone. Why the the flag was pickup should be the real question. It was very catchable if he wasn't held and pushed backward.

Apologies but you're wrong on that.

I've posted a video not only showing the play but breaking it down.

Twice.

Gronk's momentum - all 265 pounds of him - is going backwards at the time the ball is thrown, AND it's headed downward. It's like he was expecting the ball to be thrown towards the back of the endzone.

Tom, for whatever reason, threw the ball into the grass.

It wasn't catchable.

Did anyone else see that Sports Science from ESPN, ya know that show, posted something about Gronk and the last play of the game. I went to look at it and the link is now gone, only minutes after it was posted. Anyone see that or know what it was about? I know this happened last yr when we were in Balt and that FG to win the game. Well there was a video on YouTube that showed he missed the kick, and even the fans said "he missed it, but I'll take it" then less than an hr later it was pulled. I wounder if the NFL has this stuff taken down??

That was by far the closest ball I've ever seen to a receiver called uncatchable.

OK Mojo, ya that's me....Never said we were not busted, but it was over blown....way to suck up to the Pats haters!!

No one is sucking up to the Pats haters. But your playing the role of the blind homer incapable of seeing things for what they are is not helping and never helps. Way over blown are you really that dumb? How many times has an NFL coach been fined that heavy a fine over something being overblown? How many times has a team had to give up a draft pick because something is over blown. Whats overblown is your dumbass defense of Spygate. I am not sucking up I live in the real world not the fake Patriot homer world that you reside in. It's fans like you that create Pats haters its pitiful and real Patriot fans, pre Brady fans would be better of without you.

True...my comment was about original field calls by refs in general, not just that one play. They do sometimes have the chance by challange or other to change the ruling on the field. I would never want to be a ref in the NFL for sure.
