It wasn't a PI and if it was the Patriots still wouldn't score at the end. Also Gronk had no chance of coming back for that ball especially with Keuchely right there. Go to bed everyone.

That's one...

LOL...If you think I am mad, your crazy. I said NE would lose this game from the start. Car is a damn good football team, and showed it on prime time Monday. So how can I be mad at a loss when I knew it was going to happen. Its a game, and getting mad over a game is just silly.

You damn right Keuchely was there. Gronk had already turned around facing the incoming pass, Keuchely was pinning bothe of Gronks arms to his sides while driving him through the endzone. Gronk never had a chance to come back for the ball. PI unquestionably.

eric5577 said it's just a game and that's a fact. Pats losing isn't what bothers me, it the fact that some of you are so filled with hate for Brady and the Patriots you can't recognize the truth when it's staring you in the face.

Dude I have been a Pats fan since the early 70s But the truth of the matter is that ball was uncatchable, where Brady put the ball Gronk would not have gotten to it anyway. That is the fact people are not hating they see it the way I see it, you and other Pats fans see it through your typical Brady era Rose cololred glasses.

Nah - it could have been caught. If he's not mugged, he could have made a move and disrupted the play at least, maybe the ball gets tipped up and he comes down with it, who knows. Crazier things have happened. Gronk's a freak of nature.

Either way, it was a shit way for the game to end, and one doesn't have to be a homer to think it.

Yeah, because Pats fans are the very model of facing the truth.

*Cough, spygate, cough*.

Yes the DB was pinning Gronks arms to his body and not looking at the ball.

What kept this from really being a PI is that Gronk was headed backwards away from the ball, not forwards TO the ball. If Brady had thrown this anywhere - and I do mean ANYWHERE - near Gronk, the PI call sticks.

In my time I've seen PI flags picked up/not called for a ball being way overthown. Haven't you? The ball wasn't catchable. What's the difference here?

Oh wait, the Pats always get the calls - and this time you didn't. So you're crying about it.

I've seen Brady get calls he shouldn't have gotten (remember that call against Suggs where he asked for the flag and got it?) so you'll forgive me if my heart doesn't bleed for you on this loss.

We're talking about a club whose HC has TWICE had to tell the press, "We just misintrepreted the rules".

You have to remember some Pats fans are just Brady fans. They jumped on the band wagon in the early 2000's.

I am far from a Brady fan, and have said that from the start. Sure it was a bad pass, but who cares if Gronk could make a play on it or not, he was not able to cause he was held!! He has the right to fight for that ball as much as anyone, but he was not able too, and its clear as day that Luke was holding him well before the ball was even picked off. I agree, it was not PI, but it was at least holding, or Illegal contact. Yes, if TB threw it high and Gronk jumped, it would have been PI. Haters are gonna hate no matter what, and pink hats hold a grudge. As in terms of spygate...LMAO!! That was as big of a joke as Bountygate...Show me the evidence, that right, Roger destroyed the tapes, and I just wounder why.......A Pitt fan talking about spygate is like me talking about Pitt and steroids.....Continue to live in the past people....lets talk more about the "tuck rule", an actual rule in the rule book.

They aren't supposed to call it if the ball wasn't catchable. That they threw the flag to begin with is the problem, but they got together and made the right call.

Hate when the zebras are involved in game ending plays, but they got it right for once.

It's nice that you said "for once", indicating you hadn't seen this happen before. There are a few, but I haven't met many Seahawks fans that agree that the Fail Mary call last year was BS. Glad to see I can add another one to the list.

It may not have been PI, but it was definately defensive holding.... No question about that.

Not from the play I saw. He was going backwards and standing up. In order to catch this pass he would have had to have been not only moving forward but diving forward. His backwards momentum alone precluded this.

Psssst..........His backup momentum was provided by Keuchely. Arms wrapped around him pushing Gronk through the endzone. He endedup far away from the ball because he was being pushed while the ball was in the air. And some of you say that isn't PI, If not, what the fuck is?

No, honey he was moving backwards on his own and the other guy went with him. There was very little force contact on that. But hey, keep telling yourself that Gronk - in some way on some distant planet - could have caught that ball that Tom threw in the dirt.

I've already explained that many, MANY times I've seen contact and no flag because the ball was OVER thrown. Why can't the same be true of UNDER thrown as well?

Please, a Steelers fan should be the last to talk about teams getting calls from the ref. That bullshit ref aided win in the SB against the seahawks should preclude you making these types of comments.

Some of you Pats fans are amazing...

Terrell Suggs falls at Brady's feet - Brady calls for a the flag which the ref still had in his pocket - and you think the call is righteous.

Opposing fans scream about spygate and how it helped you win titles but you wont hear it. You turn deaf ears and pretend that BB did it even though it helped him in no way whatsoever.

TWICE your HC has had to look into cameras and say, "We misinterpreted the rules".

TUCK RULE!!! BTW.

Never seen THAT called in a playoff game prior the AFCCG of '01.

BB and Tom have made an entire career out of exploiting the rules but if those rules don't work in your favor, you're all shocked.

I've watched football for over 4 decades now and I've seen countless balls over thrown, with heavy contact, and no flag. Why? The ball wasn't catchable.

The same is true of under thrown whether you like it or not.

There's no way....NO WAY....Gronk could have made the catch, therefore it's not PI.

The Pats have ripped off other teams for about a decade now and the first time one goes against you, you cry about it.

Suck it up, Ginger.

Your either blind or the biggest hater on the board if you couldn't tell Keuchley had Gronk wrapped up and was pushing him through the endzone. Maybe you should make better use of your time trying to talk Big Ben out of banging teenagers.
