Hey guys, here's a write up about the playoffs from a friend of mine. Figured I'd share it and y'all can let him know what you think.

I'm predicting that all 4 road teams win this weekend. Right now, with the way KC is playing against Houston, that prediction is off to a good start.

I wonder if that's ever happened before?

It's never happened since the Wild Card has gone to the 4 game format. There's been a few times where three out of the four road teams have won but never all four.

What's it going to take to fire Marv Lewis? This has to be the last straw. He's never had control of his players and it cost them a playoff win.

If he makes a strong move and jettisons the bad apples, maybe he keeps his job? Then again, public sentiment might want those players kept, given their behavior yesterday. Celebrating Ben's injury, throwing trash at him as he was carted off (and onto the field), etc. Maybe both coaches are better off somewhere else.

They could very well have QB issues coming up as well. Will McCarrron be OK with returning to a backup? He has been effective as a starter.

Seahawks get a huge break and advance. Can't believe that happened.

You and me both. I wonder if the kicker liked having the laces in or if the holder just didn't pay attention because that was the 2nd time that game that had happened.

Well, I guess there was a first time for everything. Was hoping to be wrong on the Cincy and Minnesota though.

I'll do it in this thread and make my Super Bowl matchup prediction: It'll be Denver vs. Arizona.
Next weekend, I think that Arizona will beat GB and Carolina will beat Seattle in the NFC and that Arizona will beat Carolina in the NFC Championship game. For the AFC, I think that Denver will beat Pittsburgh and KC will upset New England and Denver will beat KC in the AFC championship game.

Laces shouldn't matter that much, especially that close. It appeared he kicked below the laces again anyway. Other than the kicker shanking that chip shot, the questionable play to me was running the ball that far to the left on the previous play. I can't imagine any kicker wanting to be on the left hash that close. It's an awkward angle, but still a gimmie kick. The kicker is right to take all the blame on himself.

Fully agree, that was hardly any more than what an old extra point used to be. I think that the play that really turned the tide of the game though was that play where Seattle had that botched snap and Wilson ran around and found a wide open receiver that ran down within the 5 yard line. Still, like you said, no excuse Minnesota losing that game.
