Ya I dont know how true that is because it was never announced as part of the rule change before the season. Cant imagine Goodell changing a rule within a month to go until regular games start.

NFL Live on ESPN had it today. This was the list they showed, and the players on the show thought it was BS. The league wants them to crack down.

Another article says penalty for spiking or throwing the ball doesn't apply after a touchdown. That's not a new rule.

I got the impression from the previous article that spinning the FB was still allowed after a TD. That's fine with me. It delays the game if it's not after a TD, but after a TD they have to set up for the extra point any way.

Those are all existing rules. (and I'm glad they're going to enforce the spinning of the ball on the field of play... way too inconsistently called over the years).

And there is no real source, certainly nothing from the NFL, saying that it is going to have the refs step up enforcement on the TD celebrations.

So basically this thread is a whole lot to do with nothing.
