Well, look at it this way

you have 20 cases (13-7) in which teams went 2-0, so...

Teams that went 40-0 the first two times they met only went 13-7 when having to play the same team for a 3rd time.

I'd say it is a pretty accurate statement that it is hard to beat a team 3 times in one season

40-0 followed by 13-7 is a huge drop off

On the contrary...if the ratbirds lose to the Steelers in the playoffs, in Baltimore, they didn't belong in the Super Bowl anyway. They lost to Jacksonville, Tenn, SD and Seattle...if there's any injustice in the playoff structure, it's that they have the 2nd seed nonetheless!
