Good for those players!!!! Good of the NFL to come out, make the agreement instead of dragging it into court for years..>get those players that Suffer and need it..the money to help them....Looks like a Win-win for both sides!!!

Sorry but these players knew what they got into when signed up, now they want compensation, B.S. I work on an oil platform, does that mean I can sue if I get cancer from the chemicals? This country is sue crazy and the only win here is for the sharks(lawyers) as always.

Don't think that players in the 70s and 80s knew much about concussions. And the league didn't do much to prevent them. May have had studies on them and withheld info. Only over the past 5 years has the league tried to take any measures to reduce the possibilities.

The league also didn't know much about them in the 70s and 80s. Would it have changed what the players did? I'm guessing no because it hasn't changed what they do today.

The league should not be preventing concussions with rule changes. These guys get paid to play football and they get paid well. They know what they are getting into. I'm fine with taking away helmet to helmet hits and leading with the crown of the helmet...because that isn't smart football anyways. I'm against "defending defenseless players" getting hit because they aren't defenseless. The QB should be fined for putting them in a bad situation and it used to be on the QB if he got his WR killed.

Seems the NFL got off light so it appears a win for them, but on the other hand the players involved in the settlement got something also. That is if they "now" can prove they rightfully deserve a part of this buy out.

If you are an uneducated or not well read potential employee who doesn't know the risks and you are hired to work with those chemicals all while the company is telling you that the chemicals are safe as milk (even when science knows better).... you can sue.

Understood but man I mean we have people who think they should make $15 to flip burgers and I don't know where you get oilfield and uneducated from but I work on the downstream side for Exxonmobil, not everyone is toothless and on meth...lol

But I'm sure slot of take risks at our jobs everyday, should of studied Law ...oh well

If your bosses told you that it was ok for you to go back to work with the chemicals and they knew that it was not ok, then yes you could sue them... and should.
