Just want to know what are some your thoughts regarding the current changes in the NFL for some teams.

I know our assistants have been linked to a lot of the teams (Lions, Titans, etc...) but they ended up hiring different coaches instead of our assistants.

Titans hired Wis after being linked to Quinn.
Lions hired Caldwell.
Redskins hired Gruden after being linked to Bevell.

How do you feel about this? Namely for guys like Dan Quinn and Darrel Bevell. Relieved that they will probably be staying?

We'll probably find out more as the off-season moves forward, but I'm glad to have Quinn around. Bevell is off/on mixed feelings for me.

I would be happy if these guys get head coaching jobs, but it seems like the list is getting smaller.

I like both Quinn and Bevell and I'm glad that it's starting to look increasingly likely that they'll both stay with the Seahawks coaching staff. I feel frustrated at times with Bevell's conservative play calling, but I think that a run heavy offense makes our defense even better by allowing the Seahawks to control the clock more and not allow as much opportunity for the opposing offense to be on the field. I also like the way a run heavy offense tend to put the Seahawks in a lot of 3rd and medium or third and short situations.

How can it be a bad thing to retain your key coaches on a team that is currently 14-3 and on the door step of the Super bowl in a home game to get there?

You bet I want both back next year. 1000% yes.

Yeah, I have not seen the Vikings or the Browns linked to any of our assistants so I think they'll most likely stick around. But you never know.

Also, seems like the Titans couldn't get an interview in with Quinn because they needed to wait until the season is over for the Hawks. I like the Whis hired for them though, Whis is a hell of a coach!

Bad hire for the Lions imo, I don't think Caldwell is a good hire for them.

I was shocked by a few of these hirings, some will work out and others will just be a disaster.

1. TB and Lovie Smith is a good match, personally he should never have been fired from Chi.
2. If Caldwell can add a stricter attitude in Det, I don't see why they can't compete for the NFCN
3. Doesn't matter who you hire in Washington, it'll still be a disaster.
That's just a few.

Overall, I'm glad Quinn is staying but kind of wished Bevell would have moved on.

I agree! I want both of these guys back. Bevell's playcalling is frustrating at times, but he's a good coach. Besides, outside of Denver, I'm sure almost all other teams criticize their OC at one point or another over the course of the season and tenure.

I love the TB hire of Smith as well. It's a great match I think. The fact that the Browns have a vacancy right now is kinda sad for me because I though Chudzinski was unjustly let go after just one year.

That organization is a disaster that even Holmgren couldn't fixed.

Not even Bill Walsh could win 6 games if he was handed that Browns roster. Chudzinski did a hell of a job with a crappy QB, zero running game and 1 soid WR. He should be happy to get out of that mess.

I feel like if we would have lost to New Orleans then Quinn would already be in Tennessee. They seemed really enamored with him. The fact that he was a finalist without even interviewing there showed what they thought of him. They just could not afford to wait another week.
