Branch played longer, so career numbers look much better. Branch broke 800 receiving yards 5 times (1k twice), Swan broke 800 yards only 2 times. Branch 3 time All Pro and Swan only 1 time.

Agree Swann only in HOF because of playoff performances and being on Steelers.

Yep, Exactly. A case of way too much emphasis on SB rings. As for playoff performance, Branch was actually better than Swann in quite a few catagories but Swann had more TDs on the big stage.

I agree. Drew and Cliff are very comparable. Pearson, like Swann, more postseason TDs than Branch.

I might be mis- remembering but didn't Swann get helicoptered vs the Rams in the SB and stiil catch the ball?

think Pearson was the last one from the 70's all decade team to finally get in.

So he did have that accolade over the others.
