I just think hitters have much more than they had back in the day, batters have an advantage. A BP is heavily relied on nowadays as well. It’s isn’t always this way, Morton and Verlander pitched lights out. I think it was more about pitchers getting worn down. Pitching and defense still wins championships imo.

If anything hitters have less an advantage today, there are specialists now, there didnt use to be, back in the day the starter could often throw 200+ pitches in a start.

They were dominant, Kershaw was dominant, when the Dodger pen had a days rest, they were dominant...the only time hitting won out was when average pitchers or worn out pitchers were on the mound.

Specialized pitchers pitching to one hitter before the next pitcher comes in vs starting pitchers starting 45 games a year pitching 350+ innings? There is a reason players strike out 10X more today than they did 75 years ago facing Bob Jones in the 8th inning after he's thrown 190 pitches is a little easier than facing a fresh Andrew Miller.

Hmmmm 4 2/3 6 earned runs, doesn't scream dominant to me...
