NO, you are right in that his cap hit is $24.7 million if he is on roster. But if they cut/trade him, his projected dead money is $19.6M. So in real cap erms they would eat the $19.6M but save $5.1M leaving them a svelt $.45M over the cap.

With or without Romo, the word of the Day in Dallas is going to be Release, Restructure and hope they knock the draft out the park.
