New idea for a fantasy league

I rather this be more of the usual. No 2 QB. More or less a reverse suicide league.

Remember there is no bench... if there is only one QB, we might as well just nix it and just do RBs and WRs...

Guess I'd have to check out the back up QBs picked in suicide, but off hand I'd have to disagree.

Lets assume we get only 8 owners...

What i was thinking is to take the top 16 QBs according to a fantasy site, and only those 16 QBs can be taken... Maybe take the top 20 instead... What we don't want in this draft is for the better players NOT to be taken... There is no purpose of this if we are drafting a whole team of backups...

I think the 2QBs does add more strategy and avoids "luck", more than if we went with one. But even with two, if one gets hurt you've got it made.

Harold, the site would be needed for a player pool to pick from. Even if drafted here. Or an outside ADP pool that's settled on. Like say, combined Suicide. Which is fine by me, but Im not the guy to assemble it. (Just the phone.)

If we did go with Combined Suicide as a player pool, here's an example: QB- A league: 23 taken. B league- 17 taken. None in B that werent in A. So 23 QBs to choose from. Luck, ARodge, Peyton, Wilson, Big Ben, Ryan, Eli, Brees, Romo, Newton, Brady, Staff, Tanny, Rivers, Bradford,Carr, Bridgewater, Flacco, kaep, winston, Palmer Dalton Cutler.

So long as we have less than 12 guys, we're good for 2QBs if we go that route. (We're at 8 owners now I believe.)

If y'all want give me sometime Saturday night and I will come up with the list using combined MBBRL regular leagues. IMO suicide was too long ago and too many injuries have already happened. That way we could start a slow draft on here Sunday, we need to start and finish the draft as fast as we can. The season starts in a week.

If you do go through with this, at least adjust the rules to make it a little more interesting.
Perhaps, bump up fumble and interception numbers to -4. Make the QB lose points for incomplete passes. No gains, or losses on rushing attempts should be negative bonuses (if possible). Just spit-ballin'. Really highlight mistakes. Loss of points for penalties (again, if possible).

So we have our 8- Wilwhite,obxyankee,Tlance,Smitty,Haroldseattle, Treff,Chef.

The roster will be 2 QBs, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 TE, 3 WR/RB that is 11 rounds...

The player pool will be posted soon... Players who are already out for the season are not eligible.

It will be standard scoring... so -1 point per 10 receiving/rushing yards, -6 pts for every TD, -1 point per 25 passing yards. -2 per turnover...

It will be a slow draft on this board, the draft order will be posted soon...

It is a draft and forget, with NO bench...

Actually, yes it is.

I don't think we should alter scoring, but lack of yards could be a reflection of role in the offense. High TOs are more likely caused by poor decisions

One thing Milk,

If this is truly a "bust" league, then I see no reason to force people to own a player they know is not going to bust. Yes, we need restrictions to keep us from drafting bench players, but I also see know reason to force someone to draft a truly elite player nobody thinks will bust.

If 16 QBs get drafted, put 20 in the player pool. If it is 24 RBs, maybe 32 go in. I just hate the thought of having "forced picks" at the end of the draft. That would really suck. You always should have options during any draft.

the objective isn't exactly fewest points, it is really about picking the busts... If we make crazy scoring, then you may find it difficult to tell if it was the scoring or the players...
