Bruce has the title of GM, but not the authority that goes with it. He is also not known for his player evaluation skills. He is more of a contract negotiator & PR guy.

Would make several people happy since I heard Dungy the other day saying that he & others were kind of ticked at Snyder for not really following the minority hiring guidelines when he hired Shanahan. He only interviewed Jerry Gray who was part of the outgoing staff & had zero chance of getting the job.
