I thought that was also a rotational thing. Not every year is the Rose Bowl bound to that, but it just so happens this year they have to take a non AQ if either of the conference champs make the NCG.

Pitt would be a serious ass kicking. I would love to see Boise St in the fiesta bowl if they dont jump TCU. I still think Auburn will lose to Bama in 2 weeks and that will put one of those two non AQ's in the title game.
