Some of these are pretty crazy........

If a player is flagged for taunting before he enters the endzone (on the way into the endzone), the Touchdown will now be erased from the board and a 15 yard penalty will be assessed.

Also, if 3 or more players try to overpower 1 offensive lineman on a place-kick, there will be a 5 yard penalty on the defense.

There are some others in here as well.......

I don't like the idea of refs having the power to take points of the board. Especially with something as subjective as a taunt. They would have called taunting on every touchdown nebraska had last year.

Teams will have the option of shaving 10 seconds off the clock for penalties called in the final minute of each half.

This will ruin college football. Period.

I'm not a big fan of blatant taunting, but they just increased the odds of refs making unscrupulous calls tenfold.

"Personal Foul, excessive celebration, player was seen smiling as he entered the endzone"

The thing I got against taunting is that it makes the guy doing it look like a dick. I think the punishment should fit the crime, so here's what I propose: Instead of a 15 yd penalty and calling back the TD, they should make the guy play the rest of the game wearing a jockstrap on top of his helmet--since he made a dick out of himself by taunting.

Brian Christopherson made a good point............the controversy that comes from that taunting rule is going to be crazy.

Every ref is going to have a different idea of what is taunting and what isn't.............

Think back to the Fiesta Bowl against Florida...........Tommie Frazier and Lawrence Phillips wouldn't have scored any TDs at all.

It's going to create a huge mess, and people are going to be fucking pissed when it happens to their team.

His play would be one that would be very controversial though, because he dove into the endzone.........so do they say he was celebrating before he went in the endzone, or as he was crossing the goal line.

That's what's stupid........if the penalty is called 1 inch outside of the goal line, then the TD is erased and the ball is placed on the 20............otherwise if the penalty occurs as the player is crossing the goal line it's a TD and the penalty is assessed on the kick off.
