Ducks moved up in coaches.

Impossible. You must be wrong, because I see a post at least once a week that says a team can't move up in the top spots unless they are ranked up there to start with or one of the other teams losses.

Pretty slim margin though. How the other BigTen - P12 matchups go this week (ASU - Wisc, Neb - UCLA) probably tip the scales for one team or the other in the computers.

Well not yet. Not enough games for that to happen.

That will only matter once teams start playing each other in conference.

Canes jump 11 places? Nice but the only number I want is #1 in mid January. Not happening this year.

Agree. Conference rah rah crap :L

that isn't how it works.

Conference games have to occur for that to make any difference.

Teams SOS when your team plays them and into the future. That is when the cpus take this scenario into account

Nah, when comparing teams with the same record in the computers used by the BCS, SOS is the biggest factor. SOS is heavily influenced by OOC record by your conference mates. Once you get to conference play, most of the wins/losses get absorbed since there's so many common opponents. Sure, there's some hits/misses, but for the most part its a wash, at least compared to OOC game results.

But the conference games will occur, which is why it matters.

No, you were specifically referring to this weeks B1G vs PAC games having an effect on tOSU and Oregon rankings in next weeks poll as you mentioned those games having an impact.

ANd I am trying to explain to you how it werks.

It wont matter until tOSU and Oregon actually play those teams in conference bro.

yes. But not until tOSU and Oregon play them. ANd by then, who knows where those teams will be.

It doesn't matter at all until we see where these teams are when tOSU and Oregon play them

I'm glad the pollsters had the balls to drop Texas out of the top 25.

Never made any reference to next week's poll, as there will not even be a BCS poll next week. Only the final rankings matter.
