Beginning this season 36 voters will release a poll every Sunday.

The 36 voters are from the FWAA and NFF .

26 from FWAA are former prominent National Sports Writers.

The 10 from NFF are former Heisman winners, Coaches, and Admins.

FWAA Director Steve Richardson mentioned it will be the most qualified and non agenda driven poll going.

The AP poll - National Sports Writers
The Harris Poll - former players, coaches, administrators, and current and former media
The Coaches poll - self explantory

"most qualified and non agenda driven poll going" :laugh3:

:bullshit:

It's the same fucking voters now condensed to a smaller poll and they say it will not be agenda driven.

I thought the same thing, MarkOU.

BUT, the cool thing about it is, it's a list of the top 16 teams, which sounds really good when used in a sentence with the words "college football playoff."

So CFB looked at how well the MLBHOF voting works and thought "wow, that is what we want to be like as well". :L

Two clown organizations. The FWAA claims an 8-0-1 Ohio State team that tied 3-5-2 TCU in 1961 as their champion over undefeated, untied unanimous AP/UPI Bama. The NFF lists 2 champions for 1970, Texas and Ohio State. Nebraska and Texas split the AP/UPI that year. No thanks.

I think that is exactly why it was created Hu.

If so, then how can it be the most qualified non agenda driven poll? Sounds like they very much have an agenda in mind with their belief that they will have the best poll, along with the curious number of 16 teams that conveniently fits into a tournament bracket. They aren't looking to create controversy in the least.

Yeah, I'll believe that when I see it.

This has absolute disaster written all over it.

These voters should have to write a full page on each team they voted on explaining why they chose for them to be there.

I'm not kidding. Let's pay these people an equal amount to do it as well to compensate them for their time.

They need to show complete knowledge of the team they're voting on and the reason behind where they placed them in the rankings.

I'm not saying it's a solution, but it would be a start.

Sorry for ranting, but WHY THE FUCK ARE WE DOING AWAY WITH SOMETHING THAT HAS WORKED SO WELL FOR SO LONG????

This is just a bunch of old douchebags looking for notoriety. They want their name in the history books just like the dumbasses that want to do away with the extra point in the NFL or the idiots who want the 4 point line in the NBA.

It's just an alternate poll Brasky. The other polls will remain.

The super 16 poll is just attempting to position itself into being the relevant poll with the upcoming CFP format is my guess.

Are they publishing how they voted? Because if this poll is supposed to have influence and they get to hide behind the veil of secrecy, it's just more bullshit.
