If I was handing down the punishment, Id give Gibbons 5 games and fine him his game checks. I'd give Joey 7 games and fine him 7 game checks. You cant try to intentionally injure another player.

The league needs to set the precedent that an ejected player or manager, coming back onto the field will get a significant suspension.

League punishment won't be this much, but it should if they want to try and fix shit like this

One thing none of you have mentioned is that in that slide Odor intentionally threw at an angle where if possible he was going to throw the ball off of Bautista's face. He was not messing with him from the get-go. Never seen a haymaker landed like that in a baseball fight that I fan remember.

Mack mentioned the throw in the post game. I'm not sure he wasn't just trying like hell to get his left knee out of the way. Throwing at someones face while that is taking place is tough, though the throw was made at an incredibly odd angle and ended up way up the RF line
