Oh yea they are...........the conference tournament plays a HUGE role in deciding which teams they want.

The selection committee is only interested in bringing in teams that may make a surprise run in the NCAA tournament, because that draws more interest, better ratings, etc......

You read that the wrong way..............I didn't mean I'd be equally as happy..........I meant that the chances of the basketball team winning the Big 12 Championship this season are equal to the chances of the football team winning 4 consecutive national titles.

too bad these games aren't at Devaney and we would win it. I think we have shown that we can stay close with any team in the conference, so if we happen to win the tourney - it wouldn't be all that shocking. (especially somehow if KU gets upset before we play them).
