What has Erstad done to warrant that?

Great player, but how does that equate to good coach?

I know what you're saying, but the goal is improving on Anderson. Not gambling on an unknown without a coaching resume.

Nebraska baseball has the conference, facilities, fan base and boosters to where they should at least be an average team. Not to mention home of the CWS 50 miles away.

They ought to be able to lure a mid-major coach who's had some success.

Van Horn was a non-Nebraska guy.
