im not trying to "dictate" what a "real fan" is.....
that being said when someone says if you expect national championships from your team youre crazy..... i just respond, why wouldnt you expect national championships from your team?

so herei am at home thinking about husker football next year, not hoping for a national championship because i dont want to be thought an idiot

As I said before though, Nebraska football is on a different level.....there is a tradition behind it. I expect a national championship next season out of the football team...will it happen? Maybe, maybe not. Hell, deep down I am thinking national championship every single year, but obviously that is ridiculous.

I do not expect a national championship out of the basketball team next year because it will not happen. And I don't expect one out of the baseball team this year because it will not happen.

When Van horn was here we had the best teams ever, we might have won the world championship if he had stayed!!!! Wait did I say we might of we would of!!!!

The World Championship?! I thought that was reserved for professional baseball?!
