Running that option out of the formation opens up a ton of options for DPE and using him effectively in the slot


And it scored us a dam touchdown

Minnie- 5-1 Only loss T.C.U 30-7 And this T.C.U team beat O.S.U 42-9 yesterday

Weather was clear and COLD. We all had three layers on, except my wife, she had four layers on because I gave her my Nebraska parka. At hotel computer with coffee posting.

Before the kickoff Northwestern was HIGH emotion. I said Nebraska had better be ready because it looks like Northwestern is coming out with some fire. Of course, Nebraska stunk up the first half.

What a way to start the game. A little kid broke onto the field before the first snap by Nebraska. Not sure if you all saw that. He was wearing 51 and looked to be maybe 6? Looked like his Mom was a bit frantic on the sideline when she saw her son out there.

Northwestern changed up the field

The student section and band section was moved this year to the southeast part of the stadium. That broke up the visiting team ability of the fans to make that part of the field to loud. Like Nebraska did in 2012 when the fans forced Northwestern into silent count.

They flip flopped the sides. In 2012, the Nebraska team was on the east side, this year, the Nebraska team was on the west side, which was my side. I have some what might be good pictures of Nebraska TDs. The Tommy Armstrong pass TD was rigth in front of me.

Nebraska has better looking cheerleaders than Northwestern.

Lots of Nebraska fans in attendance. I initially thought it was about 50 50 but I think it was more like 60 40 Northwestern.

At 35-17, Northwestern fans began leaving. At 38-17, Northwestern fans emptied the stadium. It was just about all red.

We went to Bat 17 restaurant bar. If you go to a game, and need food, I highly recommend the food, it was very good and a HUGE selection of beer. It was probably a 20 block walk back to the stadium from there.

No idea on the status of the Northwestern player injury. There were a lot of people around him. They never showed a replay of the hit, but it did not look that violent of a hit to me. Initially, they brought a cart out for him, but that stopped halfway on the field and then they brought a gurney out. He did put up his right hand in saying he was okey dokey.

Nebraska players showed class by wishing him the best and doing a prayer thing on the field. Pelini also went over to the pile and talked to the pile or something.

Not sure what is going on with Gregory. He was a non-factor. When they benched him and put in Gangwish and Kevin Williams for Valentine, there was some fire. Matter of fact, the four man rush did absolutely nothing to Northwestern.

What the hell was that time out right before Maliek Collins sacked Siemian right in front of us? Did Papuchis or Pelini call that?

Fourth Quarter Nebraska looks really good. Which is a good sign, no quit in the Huskers.

As usual, not very good cell phone reception in the stadium. The Northwestern people behind me with Verizon had four bars, but I only had two, and I am Verizon also. Just not Evanston area code.

I will post pictures later. Probably much later.

Wanted to add one more thing, you CANNOT bring in OBVIOUS signs. I had made three signs because the sister in law wanted signs. They had to be chucked at the gate. Lesson learned, next time I bring in fold uppable(new word) signs.

only thing that concerns me is the slow starts.

against avg to mediocre teams you can get away with it. against elite or talented teams we always make excuse as why why didn't start strong, or the typical we beat ourselves line.

if we can shut Nwestern down like that in second half why not do it in the first half?? why have all that drama in the first half or let justin Jackson enter the heisman race because of us.

outside of that good win. I hope beck can figure out creative was of using AA because slamming him up the middle isn't gonna work any more.

California - pushed UCLA to the Limits ~ UCLA out of the rankings but still tough
N. Ill - pass, haven't followed them

Besides talking a lot of shit on the Husker program have you ever done anything to help promote it ? ( crickets chirping ) Just what I thought. One of those people who likes to bitch but never has a solution to help fix it. Oh and now you will say fire Bo, then what Einstein ?

It was a 1st half effort very similar to the one two weeks ago. Only difference was we weren't playing a team worth a shit last night.

2nd half they had 25 yards..

Oregon, FSU, Alabama, tOSU, etc etc.......

You see these teams constantly starting off "slow" against mediocre teams, giving us viewers hope for an upset before ultimately watching a beat down in the 2nd half.

Slow starts are nothing more than getting a feel for what's happening and making adjustments. We made adjustments last night against a really well-coached team and we demolished them.

Man if I had a dime for every time Oregon was tied or down/up by only 3 points halfway through the game against an average team.
