That was critical that we stopped them to get the ball back at the end of the first half there, and get a score. It will now take a modern day miracle to win now. This game to me is more evidence of why Riley had so many losing seasons at Oregon State.

I remember thinking this could be bad when they went to rugby styling tackling. The tried and true method of tackling has been working for decades, but this weird staff just had to change things.

hey guys - just got caught up, was out getting a new phone and had to catch up. stupid ABC, i missed the first half of 1Q, but didn't looked like i missed much.

talent? no Iowa isn't more talented. is some of it coaching maybe, but some of it is players. the difference to me in what i've seen is the Iowa discipline. they've had the same system for how long now, like 20 years? their defenders getting off blocks and playing downhill, our defenders just aren't getting off blocks and leaving holes open. offensively, TA just can't hit guys in the passing game and not much doing in the run.

That's why i'm not really going to blame coaching completely because TA just isn't that great at hitting the open guys. I think if we can get a QB in there that knows how to put some touch on the ball and hit those open guys this offense would look a ton better. looked at those two bombs that TA missed, the throws were just too hard imo, put a little more touch and let the guy run to it a little more. you hit those passes and we are in this.

TA overthrew at least four long pass plays, and I believe two of them would have been TDs. Nice going Tommy!

Riley really isn't impressing me much today as much as the IOWA staff has. The Hawkeyes want the win, not so much for the Huskers. Our Defense and once again special teams aren't up to par.
