Sure, there's a risk that Georgia (with slightly more speed than Wisconsin) could make for a long New Year's Day for the Huskers. But NU needs as many at-bats against great teams as it can get. There are no shortcuts to the top, no easy ways out of this big-game slump. That the coach and players want to get back on the mechanical bull is a good sign. Just, please wear a helmet."

im fairly certain thats how it was in the Big12 but i think the B1G splits up bowl revenue equally amongst all schools.

Only UT has that deal. Normally the conference shares revenue equally, I'm almost certain that was a huge point moving to the B1G

I believe it's split evenly. However, exposure is better, gift packages for the players en sech.

Either way, the Outback or Gator would have been just as challenging, so you may as well take the more prestigous of the 3.

It's funny... For all of the SportsHoopla over the rose bowl, we are actually playing a much tougher and more meaningful game in the Cap 1 Bowl.

When you're talking about actual opponents and the meaning of a win vs Georgia it's not even close.

I hate the fact that we'll be playing for a shot at the rose Bowl, in non NCG years of course, so every year. That particular bowl still thinks that they are the premier game of the entire country no matter who the teams playing are, also exactly what its like being a michigan fan.

Bowl money goes to the conference and then split but not 100% evenly.

So you have the Big 10 with 12 teams. Lets say Nebraska gets the Big 10 13 million for their bowl game. It is split into 13 shares. The participating team in that bowl gets 2 shares and the other 11 schools get get 1 share each. So Nebraska would get 2 million and the other schools would get 1 million each. That way the participating team gets rewarded for that particular bowl. But that is also why almost every team loses money on bowl trips.
