To start the 2nd half, T. Smith hits a couple 3s to get it to an 11 point game. Two possessions later, down 10, Walt gets the ball at the top of the key. Smith is wide open on the left side, as in no one within 10 ft from him. Walt inexplicably fakes a pass to Smith and tosses the ball to Petteway, who has a defender 2 ft from him. Smith (as well as the bench) turns his palms up to the sky as if to say "what the fucking fuck?". What about Petteway's play of late dictates forcing the ball to him?

Anyway, just par for the course as far as decision making goes on this team. Getting in their own way and killing momentum.

There are some plays on D that he looks like a matador getting out of the way of a charging bull.

I really felt like he made some strides since the beginning of the B1G schedule. He was actually playing like a big man. Scoring inside, moving his feet well on D and rebounding. A few games ago he hit some threes and since then his "big man" game has regressed.

I really want Petteway to come back next season. I would hate for him to leave on such a sour note. We all know how good this team can be. Its just that for whatever reason it is just oil and water this season.

I predicted a step back but to completely lay down and die was never a thought that crossed my mind.

Last year when he was draining all those 3's we were a difficult team to beat. It's hard to guard a 7 foot tall guy way out there.

Now that he can't hit any of these pick and pops from the top of the key anymore we are worthless as an Offense. The guy is afraid to back his ass down in the lane.
