1998 - The last time Nebraska won three straight road games in conference play (Texas A&M, Colorado, Iowa State), something the Huskers are bidding for on Wednesday.
1999 - The last time Nebraska won three consecutive games by double figures.
2000-01 - The last time a Husker averaged at least 15.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg and 3.0 apg in a season (Cookie Belcher), numbers which Shavon Shields (15.4 ppg; 5.4 rpg; 3.1 apg) is threatening in 2015-16.
12 - Nebraska has scored 70+ points 10 times this season, which tops the number of times the Huskers did it during the entire 2014-15 season (nine).

Things are trending in the right direction.

Tai and Watson need to keep playing like they are.

With 4 conference wins in a row, and 3 of those being on the road......

We will be one of the hottest teams in the Conference.

We could win tonight, lose the next 3 games, and still have a good chance at making the Tournament.

I like the optimism but I just can't believe it.

@ MSU W
vs Michigan L
@ Purdue L
vs Maryland L
vs Rutgers W
@Wisconsin L
vs PSU W
@ Indiana L
vs OSU L
@ PSU W
vs Purdue L
@ Northwestern W

Even if we win tonight and lose the next 3, then assume splitting the remaining 8 games, that would leave them at 8-10 in conference. Last year 7 B1G teams were selected with Indiana being the 7th finishing 9-9 in conference. I can't see Nebraska even being on the bubble with an 8-10 record and finishing 7th in the conference. Especially with a loss at home to Samford.

They'd have to finish above .500 and in the top 6 of the conference IMO. But my what the hell do I know.

"They'd have to finish above .500 and in the top 6 of the conference IMO."

I've said that exact same thing in the last week.

It's just common sense.

We better not lose at home to Ohio State for crying out loud.

They're terrible.

I see every home game from here on out a potential W and every road game being a probable loss.

Very similar situation to 2 years ago. The difference is we have a more well-rounded team this time around and don't rely on 1 hot dog to make ridiculous plays and hit 3-pointers from half court.

The deciding factor in all of this is if Tai, Watson, and Morrow can continue to play like they are. Right now we are playing some really good Defense too. Something that we weren't very good at in the beginning.

I mean, we likely lose tonight by 15 points. That is if things play out how they look on paper.

But there is no reason to think this team is scared.
