He never really turned into the dominant force he was projected to be and he sure comes with baggage. He is just screaming out as a guy who will take the money and disappoint.

After all the DL that has burned us over the years I can't believe a Redskins fan would even make this suggestion. He must be new at this Redskins fan thing.

Heh, I was just going to ask, can Suh play right tackle?

Seriously, the DL is far from the weakest link on this team. There are conceivably four OL spots that need upgrades, that are manned by journeymen or antiques. The other thread covers building the OL. If our first round pick next year isn't on the OL, we should just give up, we're never going to get it.

Only two words that you need to read to tell the Redskins to avoid this at all costs:

FAT AL!

You assume that the NY teams would want him. The Jets already have a formidable DL and Coughlin isnt going to put up with Suh's shit...

Regardless - the Redskins should not even consider this clown - don't care about his potential or past results. People forget that Haynesworth was just as highly regarded (if not higher) when he was a FA. No thanks!

as a lions fan i will be very sad to see him go. he never takes a play off, hes always making an impact and pressuring the qb, he plays harder than any d lineman ive seen before.
as for the skins, i wouldnt try to convert him to a 3-4 player, its to risky even though hes very versatile.

the price is too high

i think he would be great at 3-4 de or NT if we turn him loose like hatcher

but , he will cost way too much

he apparently doesnt watch much lions games. its ok, the media makes it seem like suh is a terrible overrated player but if people would just watch lions games they would see that he is constantly making an impact even though hes almost always double teamed.

You are right, I don't see every play like you guys do so I'll bow to your expertise. I never said he was overrated and maybe his dirty play has overshadowed his image. But when he came out he was the most highly regarded DT in years and sorry I just haven't heard anyone confuse him with Warren Sapp.

Ndamukong Suh made his third Pro Bowl in four years this season, and was named a first-team All-Pro. His peers voted him as one of the two most-feared players in the game.

I am sure that you are correct. However - as you should know if you have also been a Skins fan for a while - I would simply avoid moves like this given the Redskins past history. These type of moves always seem to backfire on them. Again - Haynseworth was considered to be a very similar player when they picked him up. I know that everyone views him differently now, but many folks were jumping for joy when he was acquired several years ago.

I just have a bad feeling for high profile players with huge attitudes who sign on for huge contracts especially for the Redskins. It may not happen - but there is the possibility that a player like this will play differently once he has the big bucks. If that is a missed opportunity so be it. Good luck to Suh - on another team.

in my first post i said for the skins to avoid him due to the uncomfortably of switching a 4-3 DT to a 3-4 D linemen. i am weary of that because of fat al. i didnt think suh's name would ever come up on this board because i didnt think we even had the cap.
So basically what im saying is hes an amazing player, he does soo much that doesnt even make the stat sheet unless ur into qb pressure statistics, but the skins shouldn't go after him because of the history and risk. And whatever team he picks, hopefully he stays out of the nfc east.

As a lion fan i love suh.....his contract is the problem...he got paid too early now hes due for an insane raise....anyone who calls him overated prolly hasnt watched him much....hes pretty much double teamed every play....just ask cliff avril...him and fairley are the reason detroit is 3-1. Our DL has been dominant....just look at our DB's that are playing right now. If it wasnt for the front 4's pressure..

As far as being dirty...i believe he only had one 15 yard penalty last yr....if he played in the days of butkis, he would be a legend for his play..

I also heard he wants to play in NY. Guess his sister was caught talking to someone last week in NY.

Oh well, we cant afford him. But he is a beast..

Is he feared because he kicks players in the dick?

OK OK I stand corrected, he is better than I realized. Doesn't change the fact that it's a really stupid idea for Washington to pursue him
