If they blew the play dead it's over, regardless if he had broke a tackle in his own 1 and ran 99 yards. If they had blown the play dead it's over. That's basic football 101. So you are telling me that if forward progress is stopped and the whistle is blown, a player can still go in for the touchdown? Why would a defender ever quit driving back when the whistle is blown then? They can just run right back for a touchdown.
