Wow for Sparty as a low 3 seed.

Since they have banana peels and orange rinds left on their schedule, it looks like a #1 seed is out of reach.

They gonna be pissed. I wouldn't want my team in that region.

Yeah, Izzo coaching a team in March that feels disrespected is always dangerous

Instead of the top 16 reveal, I would prefer to see them reveal Last 4 in, Last 4 byes, first four out, and next four out.

This top 16 reveal is nice and all but these teams know they're making the dance.

There are going to be some
Can someone explain to me how OU is anywhere close to a 4 seed?
Yeah, they haven't looked worth a damn lately. But I'm guessing this may be one of those years nationally like the Big 12 is as a conference. Not really a hell of a lot of difference between teams 1-40 or so. JMO.

Yeah, I hear ya. Was just shocked someone like Gonzaga or St Mary’s was not in over them for the last spot considering OU has lost like 4 in a row.

Don't worry, they'll get placed in ours as usual.
Last year was the first time in four years I believe they weren't in our region. Not that it would've mattered with the way we played as a lot of teams would've smashed us like Florida did in our 2nd game.

Honestly MSU should not even be on the 3 line. If it were Minnesota with the exact same resume they wouldn't have been

I didn't believe you until I looked closely at their schedule. OOC okay early but horrible the rest of the way.

B1G hasn't helped them this year either. They don't play tOSU and Purdue but once this year! Damn too large conferences and imbalanced schedules. They create shit like this.

The Big Ten is the reason why MSU is in this situation. 14 team league that is only going to get 4 bids this year. That is terrible.

I'm starting to think they're going to get 5 ( either Nebraska or PSU, outside shot for Maryland ) but the league is week from the middle down. MSU had an awful OOC as well so they didn't have much room for error

Don't see this happening.

Nebraska

vs Top 50: 1-5
vs Top 100: 3-8
SOS: 97
RPI: 54

That just isn't good enough. I don't even view them as a bubble team, tbh.

Penn State

vs top 50: 1-2
vs top 100: 5-6
SOS: 104
RPI: 85

lol, those SOS and RPI numbers are atrocious. I don't view them as a bubble team, either.

Maryland

vs top 50: 1-8
vs top 100: 4-9
SOS: 43
RPI: 59

Probably the best resume of the bunch. Beat Michigan and get a top win in the Big Ten tournament and there's a chance. Definitely consider them a bubble team, b/c there is a path for them to make the NCAA's as an at-large, unlike the other two. It is a long shot, though.

Nebraska has a 1 point last second loss to Kansas at home and lost on the road to Creighton in a game that was actually closer than the final score indicates. If Nebraska pulls off that Kansas win then they're in, or securely on the bubble at least.

That KU loss is slowly becoming a nightmare for Nebraska fans.

agreed. Nebraska passes the eye test for sure, but the eye test is non-existent in CBB.

Only 1 of PSU, Maryland, and Nebraska can get in. And IMO they all need to win out in the regular season to set themselves up for a chance in the B1GT . Odds of them all winning out is 0% as they play each other head and head.

I'm projecting . Nebraska has a real shot to finish 13-5/14-4 on league and end up around 40 in RPI. PSU has a tougher path but they've got some potentially good wins left. I think 1 of those 2 gets in

If Nebraka finishes the season 3-1, their projected RPI rank will be #55. They have zero chance at ending up at around #40 in the RPI. Penn State just isn't getting in with their RPI ranking.

We shall see. I'll do a gentleman wager with you that the league gets 5 ( without a tourney surprise of course ).
