When my brother was in a car accident, which caused strokes and he was in a coma for 10 weeks, I wish I had dropped school until he passed away or until we got home.

IMO, he should go to VT. If I read it right, he still has 2 years of eligibility if he transfers.

No consistency in this rule and it's a black eye for the NCAA.

Obviously he needs to get a lawyer and sue....and publicize it, give interviews to the media to make the NCAA look bad, etc. they’ll cave.

Not really a black eye. That would be very visible and have everyone talking about it. This is more like a bruise on the hip that almost no one is aware of.

Sad that not getting picked to be the starting QB is good enough of a reason but this doesn't fly. Horrible decision.

Virginia Tech is not one of the protected schools so of course it was denied. If he wanted to go to Michigan, Ohio State, Miami, etc it would have been allowed.

He had to scare up some veiled racism too.

Maybe the NCAA feels he should focus on his family?

Going to a school over 100 miles from your mother, doesn't seem like you're doing it for your mother. To me. Especially since she had the operation two years ago.

Seems like he should've just transferred when the NCAA would have allowed him to. But he didn't. Or he should've stayed close to home in the first place, but he didn't. Sometimes it's kids that I question more than money grubbing adults.
