What a disastrous night for the bubble teams. NC State had this one and blew it. Nebraska, Baylor, Cal, and Boise are all crashing and burning. Richmond, West Virginia, and Toledo as well.

If they beat UNC and wind up 10-8 in the ACC? Absolutely. A 10-8 team in the ACC with only one bad OOC loss and a signature win over one of the hottest teams in America is absolutely right in the thick of things for the 68 team bracket.

With the loss, they are likely out because they don't have a big win on the resume. If they win out (including @ Pitt) to finish 10-8 in the ACC, they are an ACC tourney victory or two away from making it.

Maybe you're right. I have just seen them play a few times and they are, in all actuality, not a very good basketball team.

Also consider they have about 1/2 of a good win (@ Tennessee). Besides that literally not one good win. That will get a bubble team left out very quickly. Even if they win out they will have 10 wins in the ACC and only one against even a decent team. So, while I agree a win against UNC and winning out to be 11-7 probably would have given them consideration (and my reaction might have been unnecessary), I still think the committee would have been extremely unimpressed with their overall body of work.

I definitely don't see the Wolfpack going to the big dance unless they can win the ACC Tournament now.
