I didn't watch much, but I wonder how invested the two retiring players were during this stretch?

Ertz and Rapinoe would have been as invested as they have ever been. Smith and Rapinoe both missed PKs that would have won it. They have talent, they will be back.

I agree and disagree. It's a hard shot but if you can perfect it then almost impossible to save. High and hard is the toughest penalty to stop if the shooter is accurate

I’m not the biggest fan of Rapinoe but I do hate to see her go out like that, she has been great. Her pass to Wombach in the closing seconds to beat Brazil was one of the greatest goals I’ve ever seen considering the situation.
