they just need to win next week. they dont need a fair amount of help
Thought I heard the announcers say they needed a couple of teams to lose (didn't hear if they said who).

Ravens for one...Thought I heard the announcers say they needed a couple of teams to lose (didn't hear if they said who).
They have played better but they also played a team that didn’t have 24 hours to gameplan so they don’t look like a 2 win team, maybe like a 5 or 6 win team. Either wat they do look much better than early in the seasonJoke all you want about the Jets,
But they have resembled a semi-competent NFL team the last few weeks.
Y'all definitely need Alex Smith back...Watching Dwayne Haskins play makes me physically ill.
yah thats just BS. ITs still an NFL team.Yes.
My post was about the Jets. Not the Browns.
How short handed the Browns were is irrelevant. The Jets won their last 2 and should have also won against the Raiders.
The Jets would have struggled against the Browns practice squad the first half of the season.
filing this under "excuses, excuses"...yah thats just BS. ITs still an NFL team.
right before the game- with basically no time to implement any changes to the game plan, they lost their 4 top remaining wide receivers (of course in addition to losing OBJ earlier in the year). Literally they did not have one guy who had caught a pass this year.
in addition they are missing 2 of their starting offensive lineman.
in addition they lost 2 out of their 3 starting linebackers less than 24 hours before kick off.
and put that on top of the secondary being ravaged by injuries all year and missing what they thought would be a starating corner and starting safety.
It basically was a practice team squad. The jets just loaded up to stop the run on a day when the Browns were short handed on the offensive line as well.
its just ridiculous. Typical Cleveland luck.
I meanif this happened on Wednesday at least they could have planned for it and put something in

I heard the same....they can win and still need help.Thought I heard the announcers say they needed a couple of teams to lose (didn't hear if they said who).
They did say that so the announcers fucked up.k, turns out the Browns DO own their own destiny. thought I heard the announcers say something different...
OK, so I was right the first time...?Yep.
What part of this do you not understand?
I am not talking about Cleveland.
The Jets were historically bad through about week 10. They have been a lot better since.
That is all.
lol OK, I'll look it up myself. listening to y'all ain't getting me anywhere...They did say that so the announcers fucked up.

The Browns lost to the Jets....beating the Pitt is no guarantee.
LOL.

LOL.
I'll take Wamu's word for it. I know how close he follows the Browns...Not sure what's going on. Ravens have the tiebreaker over the Browns if they finish with the same record. After that if they finish with the same record as the Titans or Colts wouldn't they have the tiebreaker head to head since the Browns beat both? And not sure how the Dolphins factor into eveything. I think the Browns gotta take care of business next week but still need some help.
Ok, but guessing most think you have a better chance to win up 5-7 with a minute left than up 2 with 20 seconds. Fitz played well, but he's not Joe Montana. It made sense at the time. Drain the clock and force the Phins to drive a huge chunk of the field with minimal time. The throw that Fitz made while getting simultaneously face masked was a huge fluke.
