Notre Dame is not an elite team.

And the ACC is not an elite conference.

Give me somebody else from another league over 2 ACC teams for sure. If the SEC a is down, fine. Don’t take AM either. Give Cincy a shot.

Whoever is there will likely got smashed by Alabama anyway.
OK, but how is SEC elite to take a 2nd team? And you want to take Cinci from arguably en even lesser conference (wouldn't bother me if they did, but I'm not making the comments you are about the ACC). Curious....you think ND should get in if they lost to full strength Clemson in reg. season but beat the JV squad like they did in CCG?

You are fixating here.

I just want anybody BUT the team that just got slaughtered this week. I don’t care who the 4th team is.

Texas AM has the best resume IMO, but it really doesn’t matter to me. Just shouldn’t be ND.

so WHEN they got slaughtered should matter? If TAM played Bama in CCG and got slaughtered then they are out? How does TAM have the better resume? Each got crushed by an elite team (TAM by more), ND happened to also beat that team albeit without their QB. Does TAM beat Bama with their 2nd string QB? are you picking a healthy UF to beat Clemson without Lawrence? TAM beat a winless Vandy by 5. Can you explain what makes their resume better?

Yes. When they get slaughtered absolutely matters.

I have made my point and I am not getting into a week long back and forth with you about this.

Jets just beat the Rams.

That is pretty hilarious.

I just don’t buy them as an NFC contender. Goff too inconsistent.

OK, I can agree when team loses matters...since asked a few times can you at some point explain how they have a better resume? Is it anything other than their huge loss was earlier than ND?

I have answered that like half a dozen times. Not doing it again.

You can read my previous posts. My reasoning is clear as day.

yep, baseless answers. Win was later.....something about recruits from year's past in SEC. Did I miss anything.....SEC looking better at beating each other than the ACC. Did I miss anything?

another decent performance by our game manager, @Wamu @Shanemansj13 @WiggyRuss

Handful of incredible throws to well covered receivers. One each to Njoku and Landry stood out for me among the many.
I think he was what? like 29/32?

7 possessions for each team.

Browns only did put up 20 but it was a pretty efficient 20. What it seemed liek the game plan was, and what they were discussing on the post-game radio station is that they were trying to shorten the game and play a brand of football that would be ideal for the Browns vs. some of these better teams that they might face down the road.

I thought Baker was great again.

he has a really nice TD/INT ratio - and that was despite those 3 straight games where the weather was just horrible and they just basically ran the whole time.

Ohio State and Notre Dame both make it in.

I think this shows that to a certain extent $ and eyeballs do matter. More so for the Notre Dame selection id say than Ohio State.....

but Cincinnati was never getting in.

A&M had really no good wins except vs. a 3 loss Florida team.

If A&M had another good win, like Georgia, then maybe they would have jumped ND...but when its really close...ND is getting in.

Giants tried to use the Raiders playbook and milk the clock and limit Browns possessions.

Fails miserably when they don't execute in red zone

Money always matters. It's why there was even an attempt at a season.

The "eye test" was always going to be more important than ever this season because teams weren't playing the same amount of games and there were very few OOC games.

Might have been 29-34, but 2 were throwaways. Not sure plan was to shorten game but with them having a tough time getting off the field between the 20s (or even the 10s) without many incomplete passes, especially in first half, could help being shorter...one of the fastest games I remember for any NFL game in prime time.

Baker is confident and dealing.

Not sure it's so much the LV playbook as it is D couldn't stop them (like they couldn't against LV). Probably both. Good thing bend but don't break.

That's a better reply than trying to defend those "answers", so I get it.

Not their playbook specifically but that they were using a lot of clock
