He is still just 57, still young to get a gig somewhere else....

I am definitely recovering from a near death experience....at my age this hangover is like that. LOL.
He has been mailing it in for a while now, he makes excuses not to use the portal. He simply hasnt been willing to keep putting in the work.

He is not overrated in terms of the totality of what he has done. He’s going to have a hard time getting anyone to believe he is still willing to put in the work though.

Only if he agrees to the paycut though.

Otherwise, he's gone-zo.
He has 3 options

1. Retire and they can all act like all is well, he would get a buyout of sorts.
2. Do the renegotiation so they can start the countdown on getting rid of him without that big buyout.
3. Be ready to fight it out in court when fired.

He really should think about leaving. Overall, he had a good run as a hometown hero (former OSU player and all) but over time he hasn't been able to maintain his better years (prolly for reasons you mentioned) and he still just 57. He could get another gig somewhere else....

I don’t think he wants to work at the level the job requires at this time with the NIL. That’s the local consensus.

Maybe he (like Frank Solich) goes to the MAC and finishes out his career....

Solich did a really good job at Ohio. Most wins in the MAC.
