The Saudis are into sportswashing their money, what their people like doesn’t mean much I don’t think.I mean, are the Saudis as into American college football as they are golf and soccer?

You really are equating the money in college football to those type sports?Yes I know but they aren't gonna be doing that with CFB or lacrosse or sumo.
Haven't confirmed it but heard already coming to the BIG.Starting to look like the PAC 12 may not quite be dead yet. Apparently, Oregon and Washington are leaning towards staying and Arizona hasn't signed with the Big 12 yet.
i kind of do....well, other than my school being able to develop stud QBs now.I miss the old cfb
I think the PAC put out some propaganda this morning but it seems like the teams are still leaving.Haven't confirmed it but heard already coming to the BIG.
also guessing I've been Ninja'd on this.
For Saudi freaking Arabia? Uh, yeah. There a lot of Bama and Notre Dame fans over there? You really are equating the money in college football to those type sports?
Dude, you are smarter than this. The Saudis are not doing this because their people like golf or whatever. For Saudi freaking Arabia? Uh, yeah. There a lot of Bama and Notre Dame fans over there?
I get what they are doing and why but you don't think it matters what sport?Dude, you are smarter than this. The Saudis are not doing this because their people like golf or whatever.
Wanted the Eagles to take him as a developmental QB. Didn’t watch but saw his line. Must have been pretty solid.Saw entire Browns/Jets game....my team, football, how couldn't I? Only thing I maybe came away with was DTR was pretty damn impressive. Sure, 2nd half of a preseason game so who knows, but rather a rookie look like he belongs and play well than not.
also had a nice block on the TD by Felton.Wanted the Eagles to take him as a developmental QB. Didn’t watch but saw his line. Must have been pretty solid.
No I don’t, as long as it’s something pretty big. College football is a growing concern.I get what they are doing and why but you don't think it matters what sport?
I think the one thing going for college football and basketball is that for the most part, the Saudi groups have been purchasing teams which is legally bought and sold entities. It will be harder for them with college sports because they can’t purchase the university like they can a team. I’m not even sure that they can purchase a controlling interest in these conferences. It’s my understanding that governance and control comes from people who work for the universities themselves. Maybe my understanding here is ignorant or dated though when it comes to ability for someone to buy ownership into these college conferences. No I don’t, as long as it’s something pretty big. Yeah I don’t think the conferences would be quick to get in bed with them. What we have to remember though is the supply of money is literally limitless. I mean if they wanted they could team up with someone like Fox, and therefore the conferences, and change the landscape even more. Just something I’ve had my eye on. I think they are currently turning their attention to tennis.I think the one thing going for college football and basketball is that for the most part, the Saudi groups have been purchasing teams which is legally bought and sold entities. Indeed, there are lots of sports they will work on before CFBYeah I don’t think the conferences would be quick to get in bed with them. I could see them offering ridiculous money for ownership rights to the College Football Playoffs or a bundle of the non-Playoff Bowl Games. Those are non-conference or intraconference contracts and technically available to the highest bidder.Yeah I don’t think the conferences would be quick to get in bed with them. Poof, the PGA tour was gone. Money can never be underestimated.Indeed, there are lots of sports they will work on before CFB
Still, CFB is far down the list IMO. Worse optics than professional leagues for one thing.Poof, the PGA tour was gone. Money can never be underestimated.
