They aren’t going to pay him what he wants.
Who will? Plus trade enough assets to get the Colts to trade him?

He has youth on his side, but the Colts with Steichen taking over and a rookie QB with running ability aren't going to depend on a RB the same as they have in the past. He's unlikely to put up stats moving forward to get an expensive extension, so he's right to try to get it now or move on. It's tough to see a situation where a trade gets completed though.

Plus he knows he is headed into a season with a team that is going to work him heavily.

Add another 3 from the B10 and you now have half the tournament from those two conferences. Everybody who projected that 12 teams would open the door to smaller conference champs was mistaken.

I think it opens the door for sure, but it certainly won’t happen every year.

I hate when there is a good smaller conference team that goes undefeated and they inevitably end up ranked just outside the BCS top 4.

I don’t need to see small conference teams every year, but the really good ones need to get a shot.

And I believe they will now.

I guess entitled to your opinion.....mine is I hold guys accountable only for what they did. Good or bad.

Individuals for sure.

Overall culture of a franchise is something different though.

Takes more than a couple average seasons to say it has flipped.

Make the playoffs 3 years in a row and win a couple games there?

Then we can start talking about different times I. Cleveland, or Washington, or Detroit or anywhere else that is perpetually irrelevant.

Except for this time. Payton has owned he shouldn’t have said it himself. It makes him look immature and lacking self confidence is why.
Yeah I don’t care, Rodgers acting all tough doesn’t play

I get it. This is perfect you. You have your guys you just hate and when there’s blame going both ways situations you can only get dialed in to that guy you hate.
Sorry, you go on record questioning if 9/11 really happened I’m probably not going to give you a lot of credit going forward. Guess I’m funny that way.

I don’t like that either but it has nothing to do with this situation unless you really want it to be about that.

You say things that stupid just don’t bother opening your mouth after. That would be the first smart thing he ever did.

If you think it's OK to think no differently of a regime that went 26-24 to one that was 4-44 as I said entitled to your opinion. I disagree.

as mentioned, I also would not lump this regime in with the Paul Brown era.
