Bigger deal isn’t the execution. It’s the 4 snaps at this time of year. Yikes. He has no chance unless two QBs get injured. He is absolutely not even a thought with only 4 snaps.

Just crazy.

If they aren’t going to give him a chance they need to trade him.

Commanders would be a great spot.

Yep. But what will they get for him? A first is out of the question. Maybe a 2nd? I think more likely a third. And that’s more about the position he plays than it is the prospect. The Niners gave up a lot of draft capital to move up and get him.

Can you prove that though? For all we know the Guandong Tigers offered the most.

He may have also turned down 500 million to play CF for the Yankees.

Seems like a plausible conclusion that one of the worst (of the last 2 plus decades) NFL franchises offered him the most to get him to sign.

But you can’t prove it.

Bengals DC Lou Anaruma is the best kept secret in the NFL. He’s one of the few dudes who can actually hold that KC offense down consistently (as best as can be done with that juggernaut holding them under 30). Bengals are in a great spot because all the rage right now is in elevating offensive assistants to head coach. He’s already 57 or 58 so dude is unlikely to take a head coaches spot anyway this late in his career.

Trying to build up his qb I guess but man he better succeed.

He's not wrong.

I said all last year that Hackett wasn't using Wilson properly. It looked like he was trying to make him a pocket passer and he was doing it with a bad o-line in front of him. Wilson has always been best moving around, even when he has had good o-lines.

Having said that, I agree, I can't recall hearing a coach say that kind of stuff about a previous coach publicly like that. So yeah, he better succeed or he's going to look really bad.

Like @fightinfunbags said though, dude is a top-notch coach, so it should work out.

That's what you give the "emergency quarterback" that teams have in case every actual QB gets hurt.

Rule 1 - fuck with you
Rule 2 - repeat rule 1
Rule 3 - watch Browns failure
Rule 4 - repeat rule 1
rule 5 - make comments to fuck with me that make no sense
rule 6 - repeat rule 5 as I easily refute your comments
rule 7 - get spooked and avoid all direct questions that refute your comments

There are plenty of ways to rip the Browns, though it does seem like it's getting tougher with THIS regime as you've clearly noticed....hell, if you haven't noticed when warranted I will rip them myself.

No, they absolute should be lumped in until they prove otherwise.

They only deserve to be set apart if they are able to change the narrative.

That is what Belicek and Brady did in NE, Brees in NO, etc.
I mean, so far this regime has been far better than any other since Accorsi was here in the late 80s. Including one run by that Belichick fellow.

I noticed you did not answer my question.....If washington starts become a solid team over the next 3 seasons will you lump them in with Snyder?

does this absurd narrative work the other way, too? Can the aints seasons now be considered good and be lumped in with the Brees era?

Maybe but what would you want them to deal for him that they'd accept?

Man they sure did...when they could have just stood pat and taken Fields.

If memory serves they also passed on Watson and Mahomes to take a guy who became a backup DE.

do you really not follow the team you cheer for? In what world have they made you believe they have had a tough time attracting FAs the last few seasons...at least compared to most other teams?

Not like we were in a fight with Pittsburgh, SF and NE to get the guy.

well, duh, since no one else paid anything.

I believe willing to pay is easily inferred here.

do you honestly think Atlanta offered more and he signed in Cleveland? come on man.

do I believe anyone offered more? Nope. Never even said anyone offered the same amount....but the idea it's just outlandish someone would is what I do not agree with. Seems most here agree it's very possible others were willing to tear up watson's at time current deal and replace it with a better one.

But you did imply the Browns cannot attract FAs which is false.....especially under this regime.

I'd even say Dorsey probably could have but he was more interested in making splash trade moves as opposed to bring in FAs we could use.

there is a far cry between getting Jack Conklin or John Johnson to sign and arguably the top available qb in NFL history given his age.

the only thing that makes it arguable is his legal troubles...which the NFL indicated wouldn't hit him as hard as it did when the free for all started on Deshaun

I love my team but I'm not delusional.
