Rooting against them of course, but I just want it over quickly so the Lakers can announce Redick and get prepared for the draft and trade season lol.
Haha....though figure they (or the Cavs) could announce coach during this down time if they wanted.....maybe not at this point.

The league doesn't want such announcements to upstage the finals (plus there are issues with a hired coach broadcasting NBA games). The Lakers are playing nice with the league office (such as hanging that tourney banner to try to help legitimize it), so they'll wait. Cavs, who knows? Their two main options aren't still active, so maybe they announce first?

Finals could take right up to the 23rd, leaving 2 days down time before draft day. That's pretty tight to announce your coach, hire the staff, and then get him up to speed on draft and trade options in play.

I think they'd be fine during the down time (at least maybe up to a couple days ago) but good point about JJ as a broadcaster.

No clue what Cavs do.....but would think they'd want him on board before FA/draft. Many say Mitchell has a say and likely does. But not without a commitment, I wouldn't think.

Boston is relatively unproven in the playoffs except that they did what they were supposed to do especially with Indy … that sounds obvious, but they haven’t done that the last few seasons …

although Dallas is hot, Boston will do what they’re supposed to do

… Celts in seven

And you call others casual fans....

LMAO.
Pat Riley has to decide a lot this season. Continue with an older and older Butler or trade off and build around BAM.
