"Waldo" has a LOT to prove this spring before I list him in my top 5...much less at #3. My top 5 is the same...minus Waldo...add Gonzo and insert him at 5...move the last 2 up a spot each. So basically same as last year.

the reason i picked waldo what kills him was his bb .waldo came out of every slot and didn't repeat or was all over the place from 1 pitch to the next .his late starts in the season he looked good . i do love me some gonzo but it seems he wears down like ole friend ropez .

This might be a case for considering a 6-man rotation of sorts. For example, perhaps Jimenez and Gonzalez could alternate between starting and pitching out of the bullpen depending on the situation?

Tillman, Ubaldo, Gonzalez, Gausmann and Chen. I can see Norris or Ubaldo being used as a 6th starter or a long reliever.

If he continues that type of performance a month or two into the regular season, I would completely understand the Orioles eating the whole contract and being done with him.

The time is now to trade Ubaldo for Eithier. Both bad contracts but at least we may get something from Eithier at this point. Ubaldo needs a change of scenery imo. Let's move on...Bad signing, bad deal and not a real fan favorite signing to begin with.

Ubaldo may be improved but I'd test him out of the BP for a few weeks in real action. Not in high leverage maybe but with a decent lead or down a bunch.

Maybe we can trade him to Chicago for the current Jake Arrieta, not the one that we had before the Chicago trade. :thumb:

I'm thinking pitching will be our Achilles heel this year. Hoping Gausman takes that next step and still waiting on Bundy and Harvey. Still, no bonafide ace to lead this group. Not one pitcher strikes fear in any lineup. We will need to score runs this year to have any kind of chance at making the playoffs. Either way...

Tillman
Chen
Gausman
Norris
Gonzo

gausman is the best of these 5 bundy and harvey is both suppose to be for guys . just look at the pitchers hurt and be thankful we have more than we need . chen needs to work a little with britton and he could be a solid 2 .
