1. Any team with great guard play that I'm not aware of. Great guard play seems to be the key to tourney success.
2.Cal
3.A&M
2.Cal
3.A&M
Well I couldnt... lol
Poor guy. This was his only post EVER on SportsHoopla. And it wasn't a very good one. A&M isn't anything specialLSU or California. Both going to have breakout years. Texas A&M as well.
Texas Tech
damn you picked mine! Texas Tech one I've seen the most of that comes to mind as surprising.
I guess Purdue would be my second pick.
Purdue was #23 in preseason and currently #20 AP poll. IDK if I would say they are surprising.
Wisconsin beat Iowa on their home court.See @HammerDown I loved you guys preseason. It's because I'm a SEC homer
I just have to go on and admit I don't know shit about Purdue. For some reason, I noticed them this year...and they were doing better than I guess I have them ranked in my head.
IIRC, the history of March Madness has shown this is a formula for not making the Sweet Sixteen. When you have three competent 7 footers it's hard to be bad. Their guard play is absolutely atrocious though.
A&M isn't anything special
Evansville. I think they finish in sole possession of 2nd in the MVC and make the tournament as an at large team.
